Abstract RAFT polymerization was successfully applied to the synthesis of the photo-sensitive supported catalysts(P) containing L-proline, coumarin and polyethylene glycol. The structures were characterized by 1H NMR and elemental analysis. UV spectra showed that the structures of P changed before and after UV irradiation. The catalytic performance indicated that Aldol reaction between cyclohexanone and 4-nitrobenzaldehyde in water can be achieved under the catalysis of P both before and after UV irradiation. The yields were 65%~76%, dr>93/7, and ee>95%.
