Abstract Five hydrazones(3a~3e) were synthesized by nucleophilic addition-elimination reaction of aromatic aldehydes and substituted hydrazine. 3-(Iminomethyl)-2-methoxyphenol(3a) was a new compound and its structure was characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR and elemental analysis.
